Well it’s “Ho, Ho, Ho” or is it “Oh, Oh, Oh”?
It is so easy to focus on the negatives when reflecting on the world in 2011, the effects of the G.F.C, the consequences and impact of the high Australian dollar driving Port Douglas tourists overseas instead, the heavily reduced selling prices in the Port Douglas property market etc etc etc.
However, we arguably live in the best country in the World. Some of us have the privilege to live full time, in this small piece of paradise (Port Douglas) in Far North Queensland.
Compared to others, although many of us are readjusting financially to assets declining in value, we are blessed compared to most.
The coming festive season can be a happy time to spend with family and friends. Enjoy the time, appreciate life around us and let’s be as positive as we cant to make 2012 as good as we can for each of us, our families, our fellow citizens and be confident about Australia, its future and good fortune.
