In a statement released this week, Phil Holloway, Principal of Century 21 Port Douglas Real Estate who is also Secretary of the Body Corporate at Treetops Resort now Ramada Resort Port Douglas “The Body Corporate welcomes Wyndham Vacation Resorts and the Wyndham Hotel Group as the new caretakers and managers of (Treetops) Ramada Resorts. Their purchase of the majority of the 194 units in August 2011, and the balance at the end of January, 2012 are important assets for the their companies.”
Wyndham intends to combine two units to make larger one bedroom units, and to combine three units to make larger two bedroom units. Such renovations which are approved and encouraged by the Body Corporate, do not interfere with the 100 units which remain privately owned in the Ramada Resort.
