Ian and his wife Narelle moved to Port Douglas in 1985. Ian is a baker/pastry chef by trade. Ian has been in the baking industry for 35 years and is accustomed to working hard and for long hours. Narelle and her husband Ian moved to Port Douglas in 1985, and started up the Port Douglas Bakery (the first in the town since the 1800’s).
They ran the bakery for 23 years and sold the business in early 2008. Narelle has three children all born in the Mossman Hospital.
Narelle loves the strong sense of community spirit and definitely calls Port Douglas Home. Narelle and husband Ian are the new part owners of Century 21 Port Douglas Real Estate. Narelle will be the Office Manager at Century 21 Port Douglas Real Estate and intends on taking the same hands on approach which made the Port Douglas Bakery such a success. Mal entered real estate on leaving school and was a licensed Real Estate Agent and Valuer when he was 21. Mal has owned and run agencies for many years as well as undertaking many small developments and describes himself as a frustrated architect. Mal has now resided in the Douglas Shire for 18 years since leaving Sydney and as an owner of commercial property tends to specialize in commercial and investment sales but still loves the thrill of helping somebody into their new residence.

Emma was born in Mossman in 1988, and attended both primary and high school in the Douglas Shire. Emma left the area once for six months, but soon missed Port and returned. Emma is a great people person and is looking forward to a career in Real Estate.
